Hello There.
My name is Imogen, I am 20 years old and a student from Kent. So here is the reason I decided to start up my own blog.. On 16th December 2014 I was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in the spine and skull. This is a very rare type of bone or soft tissue cancer found primarily in children and adolescents. This may sound a bit scary at first but thankfully it can be treated.. and that's what the Doctor's and my aim is to do.. treat and beat this thing!
Don't worry it won't be one of those blogs where I constantly pour my heart out in a dramatic way but I do want this blog to record my progress and be truthful too. I want to share my experiences and hopefully give faith or support to those in a similar or even the same position as I am. However guys, be warned it may include some girl talk too! Wig/hair tips and eyelash/eyebrow tips!
I'll be keeping everyone updated on here with photos and videos and it would be great to see any comments or feedback to let me know what you think!
I hope to hear back from you guys and I'll be writing again very soon.

This picture was taken at my work Christmas party December 2012. I must admit this was probably taken after a few too many glasses of white! |
So so so proud of you Imo, you're so brave and an inspiration to so many. Lots of love, Meg xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Imogen! I guess we're sort of cousins--your mom is my husband Mark's first cousin. I've been following your story on your mom's fb and am so relieved for you that you've found a diagnosis and it's a treatable condition! It will be a struggle, no doubt--most things worth doing are--but I wish you all the strength, energy and joy in the world as you go through it. You seem like an incredible person and I hope we get to meet someday soon (we're across the pond in freezing Canada.) Look forward to all your updates and hope your progress is smooth and rapid. Best love from us, L,M & baby Sebastian.
